Slidings belong on the footballfield
Last week Vinnie and I decided it was time ochblog got a new theme. So we talked a bit about how stuff should be layed out, decided on what colors to use, and we searched for a theme we could brutally violate to fit our needs. About two hours later we had a reasonable thing going with a modified version of the unnamed theme.
After that I decided we needed the ultimate tag warrior plugin, because the editors of ochblog had started using the categories for tags. This I didn't like, because I'd like to keep the categories available for other purposes, like linking them to subdomains or something else. Right now we're using a category wich functions as a linkdump/asides category, as described here.
After integrating this there arose somewhat of a "problem" on the site because posts would get more text in the tags than in the original content since all of the editors would tag eachothers posts. I personally enjoy this a lot, I think it's really "och-like" looking at the anarchistic way ochblog is ran. Vinnie however didn't like it, and wants to place the tags behind a slider, similar to the one in ochblog's footer (and to the one right here which displays related posts on the single pages). No one else wanted it though, but Vinnie can sometimes have a way of doing things his way anyway. With that in mind, I decided to stay ahead of him and piss him off by turning it the other way around, so now the the content is hidden behind a slider, while the tags are all there in their full glory.
In the same run I also tried to allow each registered user to tag posts, but this resulted in the complete "lorum ipsum" text appearing as a tag on ochblog. I do find however the result of my changes to be very interesting.

Thnax, ik ben er zelf ook wel blij mee, ondanks de "corporate" uitstraling.
